Where did the name DeWoolfson come from?
DeWoolfson is the company founder's family name on his mother's side. The family lived in London during most of the 19th Century. One of the sons of Theodore DeWoolfson and Maria Estevan arrived in the United States around 1910 on the Cunard Line's Lusitania. Customers usually think the name was made up, but it was partially an effort to locate long lost relatives here and in England.
