There is a difference . . .
And there's more than one.
Sewn and Filled by DeWoolfson. With 30 years experience, DeWoolfson is one of the consummate down comforter and pillow producers in America. When you buy directly from us, each order is sewn and filled as it is received, shipping from our North Carolina factory within 12 to 48 hours.
Only European Downproof Fabrics. We've traveled the world to find the finest tightly-woven downproof fabrics, including downproof cambric, batiste, sateen, silk, organic cotton, and other weaves. We test each fabric for the density of its weave, its thread count, the quality of yarn, its downproof abilities, and its ability to stand up to years of use.
Only European Down Fills. We use only the finest hand selected, large cluster, Hungarian white goose down or feather fills that undergo multiple washing and rinsing cycles in the United States, under the auspices of state health departments, using specialized German-made solutions to render them pure and clean.
Our Proven Baffled Box Construction. All of our comforters are constructed exclusively in our baffled box pattern. The baffled box design is today the most demanded and appreciated style of down comforter, securely holding the down in place while allowing it to reach its maximum loft. No gimmicks or unnecessary fanciful stitching. This is your assurance that you are getting the best in comforter design and construction. All comforters are generously oversized to accommodate today's deeper mattresses. Or consider asking about our Designer King size or about a custom comforter or custom pillow made for you.
Warmth Without Weight. For warmer climates or for summer use with air conditioning, consider our light weight Batiste Baffled Box in our Florida or Southern Light warmth levels. This batiste fabric is woven from Swiss yarn into the world's lightest downproof ticking. We guarantee that it is lighter in weight than any down comforter, or even any blanket, you have ever slept under. Combined with just the right amount of down fill, it is the perfect covering for warmer climates or for summer use with air conditioning.
Choosing Your Comforter.First choose from one of our exceptional fabrics. Our cambric has long been one of the most popular fabrics for down comforters throughout Europe, appreciated for its long lasting durability. Our batiste, made from Swiss yarn, is the world's lightest downproof fabric, ideal for lighter weight comforters. The sateen is a soft, supple, luxurious fabric, producing an even warmer effect. Or consider our shimmering silk blend or organic cotton comforters. Then select the warmth level suitable for your climate or sleeping preference - including our Florida Light, Southern Light, Piedmont, Mountain Air and Canadian Winter. All comforters are available in your choice of white goose down fills, including our 650 fill power white goose down or a hand selected Hungarian white goose down in fill power ranging from 750 to over 800.
Pillows Stuffed to Your Heart's Content.Choose soft, medium or very firm, or have one stuffed just the way you like. And if the firmness is not exactly perfect, we will gladly add or remove down from your pillow at any time up to one year from the date of purchase, charging only for additional down added and return shipping. We built our reputation on service!
Immediate Shipment. All DeWoolfson Down products are produced for shipment within 12 to 48 hours from our North Carolina factory.
Ecologically Safe Textiles. All of our products carry the Confidence in Textiles certification for ecologically safe textiles - your guarantee that they are made without formaldehyde, chlorine, heavy metals or other harmful chemicals. Safe for the environment and safe for you.
